job summary: We are looking for a Manufacturing focused Project Manager to support our customer who specializes in maunfuacturing performance, process, and product development. The ideal candidates will be heavily engaged in customer interaction a well as supporting and directing a team of Project Engineers that are supporting our customer with manufacturing process and set up. location: Downers Grove, Illinois job type: Permanent salary: $110,000 - 125,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: The position requires excellence in both onsite and offsite capital project management for new equipment and otherwise to ensure meeting customer, project, and functional deliverables. The challenges that await you: Oversee engineering, manufacturing, and design-based projects via internal/external resourcesLead the management and implementation of projects by use of standard project management principles and tools such as but not limited to: Scopes, Budgets, MS Project Timelines, Justifications, Risk Mitigations, Communication Plans, & Stake Holder ManagementMaintain good relationships with internal and external customers, moving forward and making decisions tactfully, adjusting to meet needs and new opportunitiesAligning of those of different mindsets and priorities to achieve overall objectivesDriving teams to root cause issues and implement corrective actionsEffective and regular status updates and communication with all stakeholdersDriving forward with minimal direction, and sometimes broad objectivesParticipate in vetting, developing, and managing vendors, equipment, processes, etc. while working with Project Engineers and other technical personnel"Hands On" as required, including varying periods of time at the customer site(local) for executionMentoring others, including customers, in successful project management practices and principlesOther duties as assigned within the capability of the employee At minimum a candidate will have: An Engineering, Project Management, or similar Bachelor's technical degree from an ABET accredited institution10+ years experience in manufacturing or engineering-based project managementDemonstrated success in delivering the triangle of project management: time, quality, costAbility to review and measure in standard CAD programs- wont do CAD, but needs to look at CAD drawingsProficiency in MS Project & collaborative applications (SharePoint, Teams, etc.)The Competencies: Group Leadership Provides direction and guidance to team/group on his/her own initiative in a way that leads to optimal team or group results.
