We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Press Brake Operator to join our production team. Key Responsibilities Setup & Tooling: * Measure material thickness to ensure correct gauge. Load specific tooling into the machine based on part gauge and fit requirements. Load and pull-in programs into the press brake control system. Production & Precision: Execute bending sequences accurately. Operate machine controls to fine-tune bend angles and flange sizes. Learn to program simple parts, ensuring programs are saved with accurate part names, gauges, and tooling data. Quality Assurance: Inspect the "first article" against technical prints for every part number before proceeding with production. Maintain tight tolerances: bends to +/- 0.3° and flanges/overall sizes to +/- 0.015”. Verify that all subsequent parts are oriented and formed correctly to print. Material Handling & Maintenance: Operate a forklift to move materials and finished parts safely. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Report any scrapped parts to the supervisor immediately for recording and replacement. Communication: Collaborate with supervisors when quality or specs are unclear. Provide clear hand-off notes to the following shift to ensure seamless production. Qualifications Safety First: A strict commitment to following all safety procedures and protocols. Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical prints and blueprints. Mathematical Proficiency: Comfortable working with decimal tolerances and measurements. If a part(s) is scrapped, make sure supervisor knows so that it can be recorded and make- up part(s) are made. 8. Learn to use the control to program simple parts and save the program by part number name, gauge and tooling number used. 9. Operate machine control to adjust bend angle and flange size. 10. Operate a forklift to move material and parts as needed. 11. Keep your area clean 12.
