The Quality Assurance Manager leads the company’s quality and process improvement efforts. You will manage a team of quality engineers, administrators, and inspectors while interfacing with engineering, customers, and supply chain to resolve quality-related issues.Essential Responsibilities Compliance: Ensure the QMS meets AS9100, FAA CFR Title 14 (Part 21 & 145), and customer requirements (Boeing BAC/D6). Operational Quality: Implement APQP and PFMEA to error-proof manufacturing. Identify critical inspection points and create statistical sampling plans (AS9138/AQL). Authority: Monitor production and exercise the authority to stop production for serious defects. Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean Six-Sigma, TQM, and CAPA processes. Monitor "Cost of Quality" KPIs to generate savings. Audit Leadership: Prepare for and manage internal, customer, and third-party audits. Leadership: Direct and mentor quality staff; provide QMS and Repair Station training to employees. Technical Oversight: Review statistical studies, use metrology tools (FaroArm/Verisurf), and manage nonconformance systems. Qualifications Education & Experience: Master’s + 2 years’ experience OR Bachelor’s + 5 years’ progressive experience (Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related). Minimum 5 years total in Quality Assurance. Specific Technical Skills: 3+ Years: Aircraft cabin interior assembly. 2+ Years: APQP, PFMEA, and ERP/MRP systems (SysPro/UniPoint preferred). 2+ Years: Boeing quality requirements (D6-82479) and Statistical Product Acceptance (AS9138). 1+ Year: AS9100/ISO9001 interpretation, technical writing for FAA compliance, and metrology equipment (FaroArm).
