This is a dynamic role that combines traditional warehouse duties—like operating a sit-down forklift and handling shipping and receiving—with precise machine operation. The ideal candidate isn't just great on a forklift, but also possesses sharp math skills, can read a tape measure down to the fraction (1/16", 1/8", etc.), and can confidently operate a saw machine to cut plastic materials to exact specifications.Key Responsibilities Machine Operation & Precision Cutting Operate a production saw machine to cut plastic materials according to custom order dimensions. Must be able to read a tape measure quickly and accurately down to 1/16” and 1/8”. Input precise dimensions and numbers into the machine interface for automated/semi-automated cutting. Perform quality checks on finished cuts to ensure they meet strict tolerance guidelines. Forklift Operation & Material Handling Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and stage heavy materials throughout the warehouse. Load and unload flatbeds, trailers, and shipping containers. Keep production lines stocked with raw materials and clear out finished goods. Shipping & Receiving Receive incoming shipments, verify piece counts against packing slips, and inspect goods for damage. Prepare, pack, band, and label outgoing orders securely for transit. Utilize basic computer skills or warehouse software to log inventory updates and print shipping labels. Role Requirements & Qualifications Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse setting, including shipping/receiving and sit-down forklift operation (certification preferred). Measurement Math: Exceptional ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions ($1/16$, $1/8$, $1/4$, $1/2$). Technical Aptitude: Comfortable inputting numbers/dimensions into machine interfaces. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
