Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic breakdowns on high-speed bottling, canning, and packaging equipment. Preventative Maintenance (PM): Perform routine PMs to maximize machine uptime and prevent unexpected failures. PLC & Automation: Assist in troubleshooting automated systems, sensors, and basic PLC issues (Programmable Logic Controllers). Safety & Quality: Maintain a clean, safe work environment following standard food safety regulations (GMP) and OSHA guidelines. Documentation: Log work orders, parts used, and machine downtime using our computerized maintenance tracking system. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 2 or more years of industrial maintenance experience (high-speed manufacturing, packaging, or food/beverage environments preferred). Technical Skills: Mechanical aptitude plus solid electrical troubleshooting skills (working with 480V three-phase motors, relays, and control panels). Blueprints & Schematics: Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics. Problem Solving: A proactive mindset—someone who fixes the root cause of an issue, not just the symptom. Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand/walk for the duration of a 12-hour shift. salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 6 PM - 6:30 AMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities power systems ($240\text{V}$–$480\text{V}$), electric motors, control circuits, relays, and faulty sensors down to the component level. PLC & Automation Interfacing: Connect to PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) to read ladder logic, monitor I/O status, and isolate whether a machine stoppage is an electrical, software, or mechanical fault. Schematic Interpretation: Read and analyze complex electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics to rapidly trace and isolate system faults. VFD & Motor Control Calibration: Install, program, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), servo systems, and motor starters to safely optimize production line speeds and machine dynamics. Electrical Preventive Maintenance: Utilize multimeters, clamp meters, and thermal imaging cameras to audit control cabinets, test circuit continuity, and catch electrical "hot spots" before they cause downtime. Safety & Code Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and NFPA 70E arc flash safety standards when isolating energy or working on live industrial enclosures.
