The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and the building in repair. Duties involve repairing mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairs of building structure. Primary Responsibilities: Diagnose mechanical issues using blueprints, manuals, or catalogs. Repair production equipment and utility systems, including high-speed machinery. Ensure proper operation of electrical and mechanical components. Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drives. Perform routine preventive maintenance. Lubricate and clean machinery components. Inspect and test machinery for malfunctions. Reassemble equipment and install various components. Fabricate parts, perform welding, and work with sheet metal. Wire, repair, and install electric motors and lighting fixtures. Troubleshoot AC drive systems and PLCs. Provide on-the-job training. Use the plant work order system and follow stockroom procedures. Audit mechanical equipment and create replacement part lists. Prioritize plant safety and assist in resolving safety concerns. Support cost-effective material and equipment usage. Maintain a tidy work area and report concerns to the supervisor. Foster positive working relationships and contribute ideas. Ensure personal and workplace safety. Attend work regularly and execute assigned tasks. Develop professional competence and skills for successful task execution.
