job summary: We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Construction Site Manager to join our team. In this crucial role, you'll report to the Head of Delivery and oversee all on-site activities for our commercial construction projects. This is a highly client-facing position where you'll ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can collaborate effectively with franchise owners, subcontractors, and other team members. This position requires extensive travel and on-site work. location: Los Angeles, California job type: Contract salary: $50 - 55 per hour work hours: 8am to 6pm education: No Degree Required responsibilities: What You'll Do Project Supervision & Leadership: Oversee daily on-site operations, ensuring all work aligns with project plans, schedules, and safety protocols. You'll manage and motivate subcontractors and laborers to maintain an efficient workflow. Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections, monitor project progress, and ensure all work meets brand and quality standards. You'll proactively address any issues to ensure client satisfaction. Safety & Compliance: Strictly enforce all safety regulations, company protocols, and policies to maintain a safe working environment for everyone on site. Communication & Problem-Solving: Act as the primary liaison between project managers, clients, and subcontractors. You'll promptly resolve any issues that arise, ensuring project timelines remain on track. You will also maintain accurate and timely project documentation, including daily reports and work logs. What You'll Bring Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role within commercial construction. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Experience with constructability analysis, identifying potential issues early on. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines. A sense of urgency and adaptability to manage fast-paced project timelines. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore). A valid passport and a willingness to travel approximately 90% of the time. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, work in noisy environments, lift and carry objects over 35 lbs., and wear required personal protective equipment.
