job summary: A Product/Test Technician is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the Winston Salem, NC area. This role supports electrical and mechanical lab testing by preparing samples, conducting tests, and troubleshooting under industrial standards, requiring technical skill, critical thinking, and hands-on problem-solving in a fast-paced lab environment. location: Winston Salem, North Carolina job type: Contract salary: $17.25 - 23.90 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Associates responsibilities: Read and interpret industrial standards (e.g., USCAR, SAE, IEC).Monitor, troubleshoot, and document test procedures and failure modes.Prepare samples via measuring, wiring, and soldering.Assemble and modify test fixtures (requires mechanical aptitude).Understand and troubleshoot DC circuits, with exposure to currents up to 1000 Amps.Perform initial, interim, and final measurements (e.g., electrical, temperature, sealing).Build and maintain trusting customer relationships.Collaborate with team members and also work independently.Maintain accurate records of test progress and meet deadlines.Keep a clean, organized, and safe lab environment. Skills: Demonstrates working knowledge of lab processes and procedures.Self-motivated and well-organized with minimal supervision required.Possesses mechanical and electrical knowledge, including series and parallel circuits.Hand soldering and using general hand tools is beneficial.strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills under tight customer deadlines.
