We're seeking a Materials Planner to optimize our supply chain by managing critical material ordering, planning, and expediting. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining master data, generating purchase orders, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery performance and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 3+ years of experience in logistics/supply chain, IT system proficiency (ERP, Excel), and excellent communication skills. Determine items to be ordered, generate purchase orders, as well as following up on all changes that are proposed by the system. Constantly optimize material master data and other settings to obtain highest efficiency in acknowledging orders, producing orders, managing inventory and shipping material to meet customer demands. Monitor, analyze and improve key performance indicators for planning (e.g. delivery performance, inventory, costs). Lead continuous improvement efforts in information flow between customer, sales and supplying plants to establish and improve the material supply chain and service level to the customer by applying lean principles. Support new product introductions (phase-ins/phase-outs) and engineering/revision changes with sales, production team and supplying plant to meet customer requirements while minimizing obsolescence risk. Start and manage escalations with suppliers to solve various types of issues in the supply chain. Data analysis for uncovering improvement potentials and determining root causes of supply chain issues.
