This position is responsible for managing the full-cycle case management process, ensuring the accurate preparation of diverse legal documentation, and maintaining seamless communication between attorneys, clients, and courts. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle complex legal research projects, resolve intricate billing or administrative discrepancies, and ensure all filing deadlines are met with precision and integrity. This role is key in streamlining firm workflows and contributing to the overall success of the firm’s legal practice. Coordinate Case Files and E-Discovery: Oversee comprehensive electronic and physical case management, indexing document productions and utilizing platforms like Westlaw or LexisNexis to support extensive legal research. Manage Court Dockets and Calendaring: Direct the scheduling of court hearings, trials, depositions, and client consultations, proactively tracking statutory deadlines to prevent missed filings. Serve as Client and Court Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, witnesses, experts, and local Louisville court personnel, gathering factual case information and handling routine status inquiries. Oversee Law Firm Operations: Handle administrative office functions including legal billing, processing client invoices, coordinating vendor services, and implementing office compliance procedures. Assist with Trial Preparation: Organize and assemble trial binders, exhibit lists, and witness files, providing dedicated administrative support to attorneys during depositions and courtroom proceedings.
