Lead, coach, and develop a team of production operators and leads, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing labor and equipment utilization. Monitor production performance metrics (efficiency, downtime, scrap, and throughput) and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with all safety policies, including OSHA regulations and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures. Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to resolve production issues and improve equipment reliability. Identify process improvements and support lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct shift meetings, communicate expectations, and provide clear direction to team members. Maintain accurate production reports, labor tracking, and documentation using ERP or MES systems. Enforce quality standards and work closely with quality assurance to reduce defects and rework. Manage staffing levels, scheduling, attendance, and performance evaluations. Train employees on standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety practices, and equipment operation. Support new product launches, process changes, and equipment installations. Address employee concerns and maintain a positive, productive work environment.
