Company provides excellent benefits including medical, dental and vision for the employee (family and dependent plans available), STD/LTD, life insurance and paid time off. location: Atlanta, Georgia job type: Permanent salary: $75,000 - 85,000 per year work hours: 8 to 5 education: Bachelor's degree experience: 5 Years responsibilities: Perform monthly, quarterly and annual close process, while also recommending/developing new processes to enhance the efficiency of the close process.Analysis and reconciliations of complex accounts.Perform general ledger activities such as journal entries for accruals or expense account reclassifications.Assist with the development of the annual budget, quarterly forecast and long-range plans.Review and analyze monthly operating results for accuracy providing recommendations when opportunities for improvement are presented.Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries.Manages the cash reporting function for the company including reconciling and posting cash receipts.Maintains the Fixed Asset and associated depreciation schedules: books monthly fixed asset journal entries to the general ledger.File annual/quarterly tax reports to Canadian authorities and maintain Canadian tax filing schedule and records.Record and analyze payroll journal entries bi-weekly, as well as maintain payroll register schedule up-to-date.Assist in annual financial statements audits: communicate with audit team, maintain PBC list, work closely with management in providing and verifying all supporting documentation.Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analysesEstablish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.Perform monthly reconciliation of open purchase orders.
