What You Will Do: Perform analytical testing on raw materials, in-progress, and finished products (including color, fat, moisture, viscosity, pH, and flavor). Hold non-conforming materials, investigate deviations, and recommend corrective actions. Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment using Good Laboratory Practices. Conduct environmental sampling, food safety audits, and allergen cleanup verifications. Monitor electronic systems to ensure compliance with weight and quality standards. Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and assist with training new technicians. Maintain laboratory and work areas according to 5S standards. What You Bring: Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with 1+ years of experience. Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and any of the three shifts (3rd). Physical Ability: Able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive hand movements in a high-noise laboratory and manufacturing environment. The job involves the completion of daily QA reports and documentation. You will test and inspect our products and manufacturing processes to ensure they meet strict quality and food safety standards. You will perform analytical testing, run audits, manage product holds for non-conforming items, and maintain laboratory equipment. What You Will Do: Analytical Testing: Test raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished products for color, particle size, fat, moisture, viscosity, pH, and flavor. Conduct case cutting product analysis to evaluate product quality and prevent large-scale issues Equipment & Labs: Maintain, calibrate, and verify laboratory equipment using Good Laboratory Practices; keep lab areas organized to 5S standards. Audits & Compliance: Conduct food safety, quality, and environmental audits on production lines. Verify proper allergen cleanups after product changeovers. Issue Resolution: Hold non-conforming materials or products, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions. Data & Records: Use electronic systems to log testing results, monitor product weights, and prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for customers.
