Randstad is seeking a Staff Accountant for a gaming and entertainment company headquartered in Las Vegas. The Staff Accountant performs a variety of core accounting functions, supports special projects, and assists in the preparation of financial statements.

responsibilities:
- Assists the accounting team with the monthly financial close process, including the preparation of journal entries and bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Daily Revenue and Operational Reconciliation on revenue via the POS system against the cage, handles cashier over/short reporting, and reconciles kiosk and ATM cash activity.
- Inputs all vendor invoices into the Accounts Payable module daily; records miscellaneous checks, deposits, bank transfers, tax payments, and weekly cage deposits.
- Assists with the preparation and filing of sales tax, liquor tax, annual information returns, and various regulatory filings.
- Maintains an independent, efficient workflow with minimal supervision while fostering positive, professional, and honest relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ensures strict compliance with all company policies, internal controls, and legal regulations required within the gaming and entertainment industry.
qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- 1+ years of professional accounting experience, with a strong background in general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
- Prior experience within the gaming, hospitality, or food and beverage industry is highly preferred.
