This position is in the Biologics Purification Development team of the Product Development Science & Technology department at Company's Bioresearch Center. The candidate will be involved with all aspects of protein purification to support biopharmaceutical process development.

responsibilities:
- Develop purification processes utilizing clarification, chromatography, and membrane filtration technologies for recombinant proteins
- Design and execute innovative process development and characterization activities, including impurity and viral clearance studies
- Responsible for technology transfer to scale-up labs and manufacturing facilities, as well as troubleshooting and investigation activities
- Perform data acquisition, analysis, and documentation in electronic lab notebooks
- Possess strong oral, written, and collaborative skills to effectively communicate experimental procedures and results
- Provide technical support for pilot and/or GMP manufacturing of clinical materials as appropriate
- Execute evaluations of new technologies and innovations for purification processes
qualifications:
- An MS or PhD degree in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, or related disciplines is required.
- At least 5 years of experience (MS) or 0-2 years of experience (PhD) in protein purification process development and/or manufacturing support is required.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with AKTA FPLC, PendoTech filtration, and HPLC is a plus.
- A sound scientific understanding of protein separation technologies and the ability to explore and develop new approaches to further advance purification technologies are desirable.
- Experience in chromatography and membrane filtration for biologics purification is preferred.
