responsibilities:
- Plan and execute purification of biotherapeutic proteins using standard chromatography methods (Affinity, SEC, CEX, AEX, MMC, and HIC).
- Perform analytical techniques (HPLC-SEC, SDS-PAGE, CGE, and DLS) to assess protein purity, stability, and quality.
- Troubleshoot complex purification systems and evaluate new technologies to improve platform productivity and consistency.
- Present stage-appropriate purification assessments and findings to the Biotherapeutics Discovery team.
- Support broader research goals in protein biochemistry to enhance the understanding of therapeutic protein structure and dynamics.
- Utilize automation and analysis scripts to improve data quality and streamline operational workflows.
qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience OR a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience in a related scientific discipline.
- Strict Requirement: Proven hands-on Protein Purification experience.
- Note: No PhD candidates will be considered for this specific role.
- Thorough understanding of mammalian cell culture and exceptional aseptic techniques.
- Proficiency in plate-based formats (24-well, 96-well) and molecular biology basics.
