A Top-Tier Global Pharma Leader is seeking a skilled Medical Monitor / Medical Monitor Trainer for a 1-year contract position, available in Florham Park, NJ or REMOTE. Drive the direction, planning, and interpretation of early-phase oncology clinical trial data while training scientific and medical directors on medical monitoring best practices, data review tools, and safety oversight.

responsibilities:
- Lead live and virtual training for scientific and medical directors on clinical data review, Spotfire/J-Review platforms, and medical monitoring best practices.
- Provide medical monitoring oversight, assessing and escalating accumulating safety, tolerability, and efficacy data.
- Review serious adverse events (SAEs), patient narratives, and aggregate data to identify emerging safety signals.
- Support dose-escalation decisions, data cleaning metrics, and study team readiness for safety review forums.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with biostatisticians, pharmacovigilance, and CRO partners to resolve clinical issues.
- Develop and maintain Medical Monitoring Plans, CRF Completion Guidelines, and standardized job aids.
qualifications:
Required:
- Advanced clinical or scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in clinical development, medical monitoring, and data review within oncology trials.
- Strong hands-on experience with EDC systems, patient profiles, listings review, and platforms like Spotfire or J-Review.
- Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and communicate complex clinical concepts to medical leadership.
- Solid understanding of clinical trial operations, safety reporting, and dose-escalation protocols.
- Experience with early-phase, translational, or biomarker-driven oncology studies.
