Manufacturing Engineer - Houston, TX (New Headcount)
Randstad Engineering is partnering with a global manufacturer of products for engines, compressors, turbines, and other rotating equipment in Houston, TX, to find a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer. This is a new headcount reporting directly to the Operations Director.
In this hands-on role, you will be crucial in maximizing production output, optimizing efficiency, and maintaining stringent safety, quality, and cost standards. You'll drive continuous process improvement, support new product introductions, and resolve assembly issues.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or IFS equivalent preferred)
- Technical knowledge of production feasibility concepts, process control, quality specifications, mechanical assembly techniques, and continuous improvement methods
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, MRP platforms, and statistical software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Hands-on mindset and approach
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Electrical Assembly and Testing Experience
- Supporting soldering and wire crimping processes
- Knowledge of machining
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Onsite 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000

responsibilities:
- Works with the production team, testing team, design engineers, quality, and procurement to drive continuous improvement activities throughout the equipment assembly process using statistical techniques and applying lean methodology.
- Plans workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow and design layout of equipment for optimum efficiency and safety.
- Develops and evaluates equipment and processes for production
- Generates assembly instructions and tooling instructions.
