A Quality Engineer is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Fairport, NY area. This manages customer quality issues and feedback in a manufacturing environment by coordinating cross-functional responses, resolving complaints through CAPA systems, and driving continuous improvements in customer satisfaction metrics.

responsibilities:
- Review and validate customer feedback entries from Salesforce.
- Classify feedback by risk level and transfer data into site-specific CAPA systems (SharePoint, EtQ, etc.).
- Collaborate with plant, engineering, and commercial teams to track and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Escalate critical or unresolved issues to site/division leadership.
- Develop and track KPIs related to customer satisfaction and feedback process compliance.
- Lead training sessions on feedback processes and root cause analysis tools.
- Support feedback process improvements, ensuring system alignment (Salesforce, SAP, EtQ).
- Prepare and deliver monthly quality reports using PowerBI, Salesforce, and EtQ data.
- strong persuasion, negotiation, and judgment in complex problem resolution.
- Project management skills with experience handling multiple projects.
- Ability to prioritize and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and sense of urgency.
- strong communication skills across organizational levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general digital tools.
- Excellent English proficiency (verbal and written).
- Familiarity with 8D and other root cause analysis/problem-solving tools.
- Experience with Salesforce, SAP, PowerBI, EtQ, and Camstar.
- Background in customer service.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science preferred, (Associate's degree acceptable with relevant experience).
- At least 3 years of manufacturing experience, ideally in quality or process roles.
