An Electrical Engineer is needed for a biomedical/biotechnology engineering firm and multinational manufacturer of medical devices in the Maple Grove, MN area. This role designs and develops electrical systems and circuit boards for interventional oncology equipment while collaborating across teams to solve technical problems, ensure compliance, and drive innovation.

responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, debug, and modify electrical circuits and systems using modern tools and techniques.
- Solve engineering problems and recommend corrective or alternative actions.
- Select appropriate electronic circuits, components, and tools using best engineering practices.
- Document electrical development efforts through procedures, reports, memos, and change requests.
- Maintain project tracking records using tools like Jira and other project management systems.
- Communicate technical updates clearly to stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Innovate product/process improvements that contribute to the company's intellectual property portfolio.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing teams.
- Train or provide direction to technicians as needed.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations, prioritizing patient safety and product quality.
- Experience with EMI/EMC best practices and board-level circuit design (using tools like Altium).
- Proficiency in lab testing, debugging, and using test fixtures and equipment.
- Familiarity with circuit simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice).
- strong root cause analysis and experimental design skills.
- Ability to make recommendations based on diverse technical data.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Capable of working independently to plan, schedule, and meet project deadlines.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
