An Inspector is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the El Cajon, CA area. This quality-focused role ensures manufacturing compliance by inspecting, testing, and analyzing materials and products using precision tools and established procedures while supporting continuous improvement in product quality and reliability.

responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains quality control systems, standards, and inspection/testing procedures.
- Ensures products meet government and company standards, including GMP compliance.
- Conducts routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
- Calibrates and maintains lab and analytical equipment.
- Documents test procedures and stability testing, prepares investigation summaries and reports of abnormalities.
- Reads and interprets complex blueprints and specifications (including customer/vendor specs).
- Uses mechanical and electrical measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, HIPOT testers).
- Performs first-piece inspections and authorizes start of production.
- Identifies process variables and proposes alternative quality methods.
- Sorts or marks defective materials for repair.
- Applies comprehensive knowledge in specialization with some adaptation of procedures/equipment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2+ years relevant vocational training and work experience.
