A Manufacturing Engineer is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Fairfield, CA area. This job is responsible for leading high-value process improvement projects and supporting manufacturing efficiency through engineering analysis, equipment validation, and compliance within an industrial or mechanical engineering environment.

responsibilities:
- Lead and manage high-value process improvement projects from start to finish.
- Develop engineering justifications for project proposals.
- Create detailed equipment specifications.
- Select and coordinate with equipment vendors.
- Plan and schedule project milestones and activities.
- Oversee purchasing and procurement for project needs.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status.
- Manage acquisition, installation, and commissioning of equipment.
- Validate equipment and processes using IQ/OQ/PQ protocols.
- Perform any additional tasks required for successful project execution.
- Conduct engineering analysis to improve manufacturing processes and ensure quality outcomes.
- Assist in designing and arranging machinery layouts to enhance facility efficiency and productivity.
- Propose sequences of operations and installation procedures to improve fabrication efficiency.
- Support specification and development of tools and equipment to optimize performance.
- Design and refine manufacturing processes to address issues in technology transfer from R&D to production.
- Ensure incorporation of mandatory modifications, programs, and regulatory bulletins.
- Maintain compliance with customer requirements and industry/regulatory standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience.
