Electrical Engineer, contract opportunity located in the in Fremont, CA area. Our client is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for high-power testing systems. This role is crucial for new product introduction (NPI) and involves working with high voltage circuits, component selection, and the creation of test fixtures to support this cutting-edge technology.

responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement technical solutions and test fixtures for high-power systems
- Selection of high voltage circuits and power components
- Create and manage interconnect wiring diagrams, schematics, and wire harness drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), while providing direct support to manufacturing to resolve technical issues.
- Conduct failure analysis of electrical components and implement preventative or corrective actions.
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Approximately 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or NPI, with hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting high-power, high-voltage equipment.
- Experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes and RLC analyzers, along with proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proven experience in high voltage circuit design, power component selection, and working within industries such as energy, power, or large capital equipment.
