A Field Engineer is needed for a leader in power and automation technologies in the Danbury, CT area. A Field Engineer plans and executes complex semi-technical field assignments, including installation and repair of company products, while also leading projects, mentoring less-experienced technicians, and troubleshooting problems with minimal guidance.

responsibilities:
- Plans and executes complex field assignments with minimal professional guidance.
- Installs, modifies, tests, inspects, and repairs company products and equipment.
- Coordinates work with other groups to meet commitments.
- Recommends measures to improve operations and customer service.
- Performs complex field service operations requiring strong technical skills.
- Constructs prototype models or simulated systems.
- Performs semi-technical work on development and production projects.
- Conducts basic fabrication, assembly, erection, maintenance, and repair.
- Runs tests and experiments, records data, and prepares reports.
- Compiles and correlates data, prepares schematics, and makes recommendations.
- May lead in the assembly and operation of laboratory and field equipment.
- Has experience with electrical soldering, assembly, and mechanical assembly.
- Possesses good interpersonal and strong communication skills.
- Can understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Has a thorough understanding of company products, equipment, and engineering concepts.
- Has the ability to adapt standard practices to solve complex problems.
- Requires an Associate's Degree in engineering or
- A related field plus 1-5 years of experience, or a special combination of education and experience.
