A Technical Project Manager is needed in the Santa Clara, CA area for an American corporation that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones, televisions, and solar products. This position manages the end-to-end installation and startup of semiconductor wafer fab systems, coordinating global resources and multifunctional teams to ensure clean room equipment is integrated on schedule and within budget.

responsibilities:
- Leads projects from initial conception and strategic planning through to full implementation and deployment.
- Manages complex project schedules and task details using tracking charts, checklists, and specialized scheduling software.
- Allocates and coordinates internal divisional resources to ensure projects stay on time and within budget.
- Oversees the financial lifecycle of project materials by initiating and managing purchase requisitions and orders.
- Monitors and drives cost-schedule performance for equipment involving global vendors and customers.
- Directs multifunctional and matrixed design teams, providing technical guidance to meet engineering goals.
- Serves as the primary liaison within the division to define objectives and deliver project status updates.
- Applies engineering and business process expertise to navigate standard programs and complex technical issues.
- Proactively identifies project risks and develops strategic solutions to resolve complications.
- Requires specific experience in semiconductor clean room wafer fab systems, specifically from the fit-up to hook-up phases.
- Prefers candidates with hands-on experience in semiconductor system startup and commissioning.
