We're seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a sheet metal fabricator in the Stratford, CT area to join a growing team. The successful manufacturing engineer will learn the shop processes hands-on, develop routings and work instructions, and assist with continuous improvement efforts for the shop. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with at least 1 year of sheet metal manufacturing experience.

responsibilities:
- Creates and maintains routings, labor standards, and work instructions
- Works on the shop floor at least 2 days per week with the manufacturing processes - laser cutting, press brake forming, welding, and hardware insertion.
- Interprets engineering drawings and customer blueprints
- Uses CAD/CAM files to support flat patterns and nesting
- Uses ERP system, collecting production data and assists with reporting of efficiency, scrap, throughput, etc.
