A Electrical Engineer is needed for a Swiss multinational manufacturing company for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and nutrition sectors, in the Vacaville, CA area. This role requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and at least three years of experience to perform detailed design, project management, and troubleshooting for electrical systems while ensuring compliance with industrial codes across the full project lifecycle.

responsibilities:
- Perform detailed design for small to mid-scale projects including drawing mark-ups and load calculations.
- Execute coordination studies, short circuit calculations, and voltage drop calculations.
- Develop equipment specifications and ensure adherence to company standards and applicable codes.
- Conduct design reviews for large projects to ensure system compatibility, conformance, and constructability.
- Provide field inspection and support for electrical, security, fire alarm, and telecom installations.
- Review drawings for electrical power, security, fire alarm, and instrument and control systems.
- Identify, scope, and manage various energy conservation projects.
- Troubleshoot power quality problems in support of the maintenance group and JLL.
- Provide project engineering and management for both electrical and non-electrical projects.
- Offer technical support to the maintenance group regarding electrical-related operational issues.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on utility bottlenecks and recommend solutions for corrective action.
- Provide technical support for Safety, Health, and Environment permit applications.
- Review and approve changes to Vacaville electrical drawings.
- Review and approve Change Records that impact electrical components of validated systems.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the field of electrical engineering.
- Knowledge of industrial standards, codes, construction practices, and project management work processes.
- Ability to interpret single-line drawings and ladder logic control drawings.
- Capability to function effectively in both team-based and self-managed environments with little supervision.
- Possession of an Engineer-In-Training or Professional Engineer registration is desirable.
- strong understanding and demonstrated ability with engineering principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of the full project lifecycle including initiation, design, construction, and commissioning.
- Possession of effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in diverse environments including offices, utility rooms, clean rooms, and outdoors.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding.
- Ability to perform clean room gowning as required by the work environment.
