A Technician is needed for a world class utility company in the Roanoke, VA area. This role requires an associate degree in engineering technology and 2 years of utility industry experience to coordinate FAC-008 activities, interpret electrical one-lines, and manage asset data within the IPS and Verifact systems while ensuring high levels of accuracy and cost-effective operations.

responsibilities:
- Coordinate FAC-008 activities of others and provide updates to leadership.
- Navigate and monitor the IPS asset database with proficiency.
- Read and interpret electrical one-lines and physical prints.
- Manage files and upload photographs into the company Verifact system.
- Provide technical support to the verification team.
- Maintain high levels of data accuracy for all tasks.
- Use technical knowledge and experience to perform cost-effective work efficiently.
- Demonstrate understanding of pertinent equipment, materials, systems, and processes.
- Apply intermediate level computer literacy and skills to daily operations.
- Work within appropriate policies and follow established procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to other employees where beneficial.
- Develop knowledge of time constraints for work activities and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Seek out information to increase technical knowledge and job skills.
- Contribute to team goals and network with peers to share information.
- Develop win-win relationships and understand corporate goals.

- Possess an Associate Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.

- Have a minimum of 2 years of related utility industry work experience.
