We have a client in Houston, TX seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join their growing team. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering design and construction review for a variety of projects, including water, wastewater, detention, storm water, paving, and roadway projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. responsibilities:
- Perform engineering design and calculations for civil engineering projects.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
- Conduct site visits and inspections.
- Must manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare various permit applications, including applications for new, renewal, minor amendment, and major amendment applications for TPDES permits.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in civil engineering design and project management with at least 5 being licensed
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
- Great understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Experience in water, wastewater, paving, drainage, and roadway design is required
- Ability to travel locally 20% of the time (all within 45 minutes of office)
