Our client is a Torrington, CT-based full-service general contractor and design-build provider with a legacy dating back to 1939. Specializing in environmental, municipal, and industrial construction throughout New England, they typically self-perform the majority of their work, including site work, concrete, and equipment installation. As Project Manager, you will supervise assigned projects from initial planning through completion, ensuring quality workmanship and project profitability.

responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Supervise assigned projects, establish personnel and equipment requirements, and maintain control over workmanship and progress.
- Financial Management: Monitor project man-hours and expenses to keep costs within estimated budgets while preparing total monthly billings.
- Client & Team Liaison: Act as the official company representative to satisfy client requirements and resolve conflicts between subcontractors and staff.
- Operational Control: Set up project administration controls, document change orders, and ensure all work is completed in accordance with final drawings.
- Project Closeout: Collect all pertinent project information for permanent filing and oversee the finalization of as-built drawings.
- Supervisory Expertise: Proven ability to direct project teams, manage field supervision, and evaluate personnel for bonuses and raises.
- Contract Administration: Experience preparing construction contract documents and managing fee negotiations with clients.
- Technical Oversight: Ability to maintain a general knowledge of design features and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and permits.
- Communication Skills: Skilled in establishing communication procedures and keeping management informed of project progress and potential problems.
- Business Development: Demonstrated ability to remain alert for potential new work and perform in an exemplary manner to secure future projects.
