Our client is a full-service general contracting and design-build provider in Torrington, CT, specializing in environmental, municipal, and industrial construction. They typically self-perform site work, concrete, and process piping. As a Project Engineer, you will support senior management in administering complex projects to ensure successful completion.

responsibilities:
- Coordinate and perform detailed reviews of shop drawings and submittals to ensure alignment with construction schedules.
- Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and maintain comprehensive transmittal logs for distribution at job meetings.
- Assist in developing and updating project CPM schedules through periodic job site visits and progress reviews.
- Identify project changes to develop cost proposals and communicate updates to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Facilitate professional correspondence between owners, architects, and engineers to maintain a clear communication chain.
- Proven ability to interpret technical shop drawings and coordinate work across multiple construction trades.
- Organizational skills to manage procurement, solicit pricing, and expedite essential equipment or materials.
- Experience assisting with CPM schedule development and tracking actual work in progress at field sites.
- Effective communication skills for attending job meetings and discussing technical subjects with project representatives.
- Capability to work under the supervision of senior management to administer and complete diverse project requirements.
