Our client is seeking a professional Superintendent in Torrington, CT to serve as the primary on-site representative. This full-service general contractor specializes in environmental, municipal, and industrial projects throughout New England, often self-performing site work, concrete, and process piping. In this role, you will direct employees and subcontractors to ensure project completion in a safe, expeditious manner while maintaining strict adherence to schedules and budgets.

responsibilities:
- Field Operations Management: Coordinate and direct the work of all employees, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure conformance with contract requirements.
- Safety Enforcement: Assure that all personnel follow OSHA and company safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Project Oversight: Keep the job on schedule and operating within established budgets while utilizing equipment and manpower efficiently.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to assure construction work represents a high-quality product in accordance with contract requirements.
- Administrative Reporting: Maintain orderly field records and provide the Project Manager with weekly production records and daily employee time records.
- Leadership Experience: Proven ability to act as a company representative with the authority to control field operations and manage diverse work crews.
- Technical Proficiency: Understanding of scheduling objectives, CPM schedules, and the proper upkeep of equipment used on-site.
- Self-Perform Expertise: Experience overseeing diverse trades including site work, concrete, masonry, carpentry, and process piping.
- Communication Skills: Ability to maintain consistent communication with trade foremen to ensure a clear understanding of established goals.
- Resource Planning: Demonstrated skill in maintaining productive work crews and ensuring adequate materials are available to meet assignments
