A Planner is needed for an energy equipment manufacturing and services company in the Oakbrook Terrace, IL area. This role will lead the forecasting, budgeting, and risk mitigation efforts to ensure projects remain financially transparent and on schedule.

responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules and cost estimates for large-scale turnkey projects.
- Build and manage project budgets using advanced scheduling and costing tools like Primavera P6 and SAP.
- Ensure regional compliance with global standards for planning, cost control, and WBS structures.
- Monitor project progress and productivity factors to identify cost movements and schedule variances.
- Analyze trends to provide accurate forecasts and mitigate potential schedule or financial risks.
- Maintain comprehensive registers for actual costs, committed costs, and project-specific risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third parties to optimize resource allocation and cost-reduction strategies.
- Prepare and present transparent financial data and project status reports for management reviews.
- Reconcile approved project financial data with accounting books in coordination with Finance Controllers.
Education: Degree qualified either in finance or may have engineering degree (with financial training).
Desired Knowledge and Experience:
- 5+ years planning large turnkey projects.
- 2+ projects providing cost controlling on large turnkey projects.
- Lead planner on 2+ turnkey projects.
- Knowledge of cost control function on large complex turnkey projects.
- Knowledge of forensic analysis on large complex turnkey projects.
