A Metallurgy Engineer is needed for a multinational consulting company that provides IT and management consulting services across the globe in the Houston,TX area. This is a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) role in Corrosion and Metallurgy requiring 20+ years of experience to lead high-level Mechanical Integrity and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) implementations within the downstream refining industry.

responsibilities:
- Own all corrosion-related data and deliverables for Mechanical Integrity implementations, including circuitization and API RBI.
- Perform pre-reviews of all deliverables to ensure compliance with client standards and corrosion engineering best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members regarding corrosion risks, damage mechanisms, and safety.
- Facilitate Corrosion Reviews, Risk Reviews, and inspection planning sessions for industrial clients.
- Ensure accurate application of damage mechanisms within specialized RBI calculators.
- Support the company's market presence by submitting publications and hosting technical sessions at industry summits.
- Lead API standards release sessions specifically related to Integrity Operating Windows (IOWs).
- Deliver SME-level recommendations on metallurgy, injector design, and air cooler configurations.
- Experience in supporting Asset Management Consulting, Pre-Sales activities including RFP response, Demos to clients.
- Exposure to API, ASTM standards, Risk based Approach, Predictive and Preventative maintenance philosophies.
- Hands on experience in Integrity Management like recommendations, metallurgy upgrades, Inspection schedule review, Turnaround management etc.
- Metallurgy Engineer (Masters Preferred).
- 20 years of overall experience in corrosion/metallurgy.
- 10 years of experience in an owner-operator role (preferably in downstream refining).
