responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead project tasks while maintaining strict schedule and budget controls to ensure timely delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
- Technical Oversight: Manage the design and review of traffic signals, signing, pavement delineation, roadway lighting, and ITS plans.
- Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous reviews of work produced by junior staff to ensure compliance with firm standards and client quality protocols.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise project personnel and provide active mentorship through knowledge sharing to foster the professional development of the team.
- Business Support: Contribute to marketing activities and proposal development while maintaining relationships with clients to drive firm growth.
- Experience: 5-8+ years of professional engineering experience, with a specific focus on traffic engineering.
- Education & Licensure: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a valid EIT certification; California PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months) is required.
- Technical Proficiency: working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, with a preference for experience in Caltrans and City of Los Angeles PS&E.
- Communication: Exceptional technical writing skills and the ability to deliver clear, professional oral presentations to stakeholders and clients.
- Certifications: Active registration as a California Traffic Engineer (T.E.) is highly desirable.
