A Lead Plant Operator is needed for a process technology client in the Kennesaw, GA area. The Lead Plant Operator will oversee the operations of a specialty chemical process plant. You will be responsible for the safe execution of complex production processes, ensuring maximum efficiency while mentoring junior staff.
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience operating commercial-scale production equipment, preferably within a chemical processing environment. Troubleshooting skills and prior experience in a Control Room setting are essential for managing plant downtime and monitoring system performance. This is a contract-to-direct hire role, 8 hours Monday through Friday.

- Utilize Control Room experience to monitor plant vitals and troubleshoot equipment failures in real-time
- Lead daily toolbox meetings and identify opportunities for continuous safety and operational improvements
- Update existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and initiate new protocols as processes evolve
- Prepare industrial equipment for scheduled maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption
- Develop mastery in all process phases to effectively train new employees on safe equipment operation
