Our client, an agile space company dedicated to US National Security is looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer. Key qualifications include, 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in electrical system design, analysis, integration, and test for spacecraft systems andunderstanding of space environmental considerations, including radiation, thermal constraints, and electromagnetic compatibility. A Bachelors degree in engineering is required.

responsibilities:
- System Design & Validation: Lead the end-to-end development of critical spacecraft electrical systems, including power, telemetry, and communications.
- Requirements Engineering: Translate complex mission and customer needs into actionable functional specifications and technical requirements.
- Integration & Testing: Oversee the assembly and functional testing of subsystems to ensure they meet strict regulatory and technical standards.
- Lifecycle Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve electrical and integration issues from the initial design phase through final testing.
- Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship to junior staff while managing essential engineering documentation like schematics and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
