Our client is seeking a Project Director in Charlotte, NC, to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex engineering projects. This role requires a strategic leader with 15+ years of experience, specifically in combined cycle power plants, to manage high-performing teams and drive profitability. You will oversee the engineering-construction interface and manage executive-level customer relationships.

responsibilities:
- Integrated Leadership: Coordinate the interface between engineering design and construction management to ensure seamless project execution and successful delivery.
- Financial Oversight: Drive project profitability by managing financial performance, risk strategies, and as-sold margins across a significant portfolio.
- Strategic Governance: Serve as an executive member on steering committees, acting as the primary point for handling escalations and fostering long-term customer relations.
- Talent Development: Lead and mentor a team of project management professionals, focusing on capability growth, recruitment, and maintaining proper staff levels.
- Operational Excellence: Enhance best practices and procedures while collaborating across regional offices to realize enterprise-wide strategy and service growth.
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable discipline.
- Have a minimum of 15 years industry experience, with 10 years of Project Management experience.
- Experience managing small-large capital projects in the process, energy, and chemical industries. Project experience should involve management of multiple engineering disciplines and vendor management from early phases of project through start-up and commissioning.
- Experience in managing teams of 5 or more people.
