Our client is seeking an Electrical Panel Designer to join their growing team. This is a hands-on technical role sitting at the intersection of electrical design, integration and manufacturing. You will work directly with customers, sales and the shop floor to design and deliver custom NEMA 3R, 4X and similar electrical enclosures from concept through to execution. Candidates must have hands-on electrical integration experience and UL knowledge to be considered.

responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts and wiring diagrams for custom enclosure projects
- Translate customer requirements into clear manufacturing drawings and procedures for the shop floor
- Develop bills of materials, cable schedules and conduit layouts as required
- Interact directly with customers throughout the design process to ensure all requirements are met
- Quote electrical components and work with purchasing to identify and qualify suppliers
- Review and provide feedback on drawings produced by other team members
- Partner with manufacturing and engineering management to problem-solve and train shop floor staff
- Hands-on experience in a UL Listed panel shop environment
- strong working knowledge of UL 508A and NEMA 3R/4X standards
- Experience with electrical integration and electromechanical design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and/or AutoDesk Inventor
- Comfortable working directly with customers and vendors
- Knowledgeable in sheet metal fabrication processes
- A degree in EET or Electrical Engineering is a plus - but equivalent hands-on experience is equally valued
