Our client is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst in Lansing, MI, to lead a high-impact initiative transforming statewide leak survey activities. This hybrid role requires an expert to redesign survey boundaries and frequencies while ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity. You will apply advanced spatial analysis to support the Distribution Integrity Management Program through technical leadership and independent judgment.

responsibilities:
- Lead the design of a new statewide leak survey framework, defining boundaries and inspection frequencies to align with regulatory requirements and operational strategy.
- Perform complex segmentation and restructuring of gas distribution assets to clean, standardize, and improve the accuracy of spatial data for audit defensibility.
- Establish GIS data quality standards and identify systemic issues to recommend structural improvements and automation opportunities for leak survey planning.
- Provide advanced data support for MPSC and PHMSA audits, ensuring GIS structures accurately reflect field conditions and meet rigorous internal and external reporting needs.
- Act as a subject matter expert, translating complex GIS logic and methodologies for technical and non-technical partners across Engineering and Operations.
