Our client, a leading aerospace aerostructures manufacturer is seeking a Tooling Design Engineer to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for designing a variety of tooling to support composite bonding, trimming, assembly, and inspection using CATIA V5. The ideal candidate brings strong surfacing skills, hands on tooling design experience, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, quality, and operations teams. Experience with composite material processes is a plus.

responsibilities:
- Design tooling to support composite bonding, trimming, assembly, inspection, and transport
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings in CATIA V5
- Work with engineers, quality, and operations to define design requirements
- Support vendors during tooling manufacturing and final buyoff
- Participate in design reviews to ensure parts can be manufactured and assembled efficiently
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
- Must have in depth experience in tool design using CATIA V5 with strong proficiency in surfacing
- Experience working with composite material processes (lay-up, bagging, trimming) preferred
