Our client is seeking a Tool Designer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is critical to maintaining operational continuity as they introduce new production to their CNC machines. The candidate must have hands-on tool design experience, be a CAD expert (CATIVA V5 or CENIT preferred) , and have proven experience in precision machining and technical operations.

responsibilities:
- Utilize CAD to develop, update, and validate trim tools and production fixtures for CNC operations.
- Create trim tools and CNC fixtures to get new production lines running.
- Update SOPs and setup instructions to keep quality consistent.
- Manage tool orders with outside vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
- Provide hands-on help across the shop floor to keep operations moving.
- Provide technical assistance across various machines and systems to drive continuous improvement.
- Must have high-level CAD proficiency, with expertise in Catia V5 or CENIT.
- Must have proven experience in precision machining and technical operations, with a background in manufacturing or production.
- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:30 am - 3:30 pm
