Our client is seeking a professional Project Estimator to join their team in Salt Lake City, UT. This on-site role requires a minimum of five years of construction estimating experience and a mastery of blueprints and technical documents. You will lead the financial analysis of diverse projects, ensuring accuracy in labor and material costs while fostering vital vendor relationships.

responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to define the overall scope and identify project requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and subcontractors while identifying value engineering opportunities.
- Source and negotiate competitive quotes from suppliers and maintain strong professional relationships with subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project managers and field leadership during preconstruction handoffs to ensure accurate budget execution.
- Experience: At least 5 years of project estimating experience required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., McCormick, EBM) and the ability to read blueprints.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction principles, cost accounting, and contract negotiation.
- Education: College degree preferred but not required.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented self-starter with strong mathematical and analytical problem-solving skills.
