responsibilities:
- Lead the design of comprehensive life safety, fire alarm, suppression, and gas detection systems while ensuring strict adherence to IBC, IFC, NFPA, and NEC regulatory codes.
- Produce critical calculations, equipment sizing, system layouts, and specifications, alongside developing highly coordinated 2D/3D BIM models using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Steer the full project lifecycle for challenging engineering tasks, taking progressive ownership of technical scopes, schedule adherence, and Engineer of Record duties.
- Act as a key liaison with clients, vendors, and code officials by reviewing submittals and providing vital on-site support during construction, commissioning, and system startup.
- Work within multidisciplinary architectural and engineering teams to ensure superior project quality, while actively partnering with senior engineers and mentoring junior staff.
