Summary of Responsibility
As a Field Service Engineer, you are a vital member of the Customer Support Department. You will be primarily responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Lathes, Milling units, and Multi-Functional Machining Centers. responsibilities:
Technical Execution: Install, commission, calibrate, and repair CNC equipment and accessories at customer facilities.
Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical/mechanical components, electro-mechanical systems, and machine control systems.
Customer Training: Provide operator training, software application support, and networking assistance.
Maintenance & Upgrades: Perform preventive maintenance, major assembly replacements, alignments, overhauls, and retrofits.
Communication: Serve as the direct link between the customer and our Service Group, providing critical feedback to improve brand loyalty.
Safety & Standards: Utilize technical manuals and documents to resolve equipment issues while working in a safe, professional manner.
Work Environment & Travel
- Local Travel: Daily travel from home to customer facilities is required.
- Work-Life Balance: While the majority of our technicians are home nightly, occasional overnight stays may be required for remote coverage or specialized training programs.
- Industrial Setting: Exposure to manufacturing environments, including noise, electricity, and heavy machinery.
