We are seeking an experienced, people-oriented Engineering Manager to lead our high-voltage utility infrastructure division in the Charlotte NC area. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team of engineers, estimators, and detailers focused on designing, quoting, and detailing steel structures for the power delivery grid-specifically focusing on tapered tubular steel poles, substations, and transmission/distribution assets.
BS in Engineering, Professional Engineering license or ability to obtain within six months preferred.

responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct an engineering and drafting squad to deliver safe, precise, and cost-effective structural drawings, calculations, and quotes.
- Oversee the department's engineering workflows to guarantee strict compliance with internal quality baselines and prevailing utility industry structural standards.
- Standardize shifting design queues, organize resource allocation, and ensure all client submittals are delivered on time with a first-time-right mindset.
- Partner closely with peer engineering leaders to make critical technical determinations regarding structural integrity and product reliability.
- Act as a primary technical resource for the sales team, directly engaging with customers to promote engineering capabilities and build deeper utility partnerships.
- Travel occasionally to interface with manufacturing plants, support customers face-to-face, and participate in technical trade conferences.
