Our client is seeking a Civil/Structural Designer for a 6 month contract assignment that could lead to direct hire in Charlotte, NC. This person will act as the ultimate QA/QC gatekeeper. In this vital role, you will be the last eyes to see engineering models and drawings before they go out the door. Requiring 12+ years of experience, this position demands expertise in structural steel, concrete, and advanced 3D model validation to ensure total constructability.

responsibilities:
- Serve as the designated checker for civil/structural drawings and 3D models-including civil, concrete, structural steel, and architectural deliverables-across multiple projects prior to issuance
- Ensure compliance with ACI, AISC, IBC, OSHA, client standards, and company SOPs
- Verify accuracy, constructability, completeness, and consistency of all deliverables
- Perform comprehensive 3D model reviews, including geometry, connectivity, clash detection, and interdisciplinary coordination
- Review vendor/shop drawings and construction submittals for alignment with design intent and project requirements
