A Project Coordinator is needed for a leading utility in the Los Angeles area (San Dimas) The Project Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act and managing prevailing wage administration utility and its subsidiaries. This position is responsible for completing Certified Payroll Reports, managing project setups, and supporting essential billing functions. Operating under a flexible hybrid model, the role ensures that all payroll data remains accurate and aligned with federal guidelines.
The ideal candidate holds an associate's degree and possesses a background in certified payroll processing and advanced Excel usage. Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to balance shifting priorities are essential for success in this role. Prior experience with JD Edwards software and government contracting is highly preferred but not required. This is a contract role that has a distinct potential to become direct hire. Our client is only seeking local talent currently.

responsibilities:
- Complete, verify, and submit compliant Certified Payroll Reports in accordance with Department of Labor regulations
- Serve as the system administrator for Elation Systems, managing user setups, project maintenance, and system support
- Review weekly time entries and periodically audit JD Edwards setups to ensure prevailing wages are current and accurate
- Track the lifecycle of each project to determine when jobs are closed and when certified payroll can be archived
- Fulfill special reporting requests from prime agencies, including manual WH-347 forms and deduction authorizations
- Collaborate closely with the Billing & Timekeeping Specialist to assist with general billing and reporting functions as needed
