A Senior Manufacturing Engineer is needed for a leading cooling technology OEM near Greenville, SC. This is an opportunity to establish new manufacturing process flows, set up cells, create Master BOMs, work instructions, etc. This is a low mix/medium volume facility. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will provide hands-on technical leadership across the full equipment lifecycle, from initial concept through shop-floor digital integration. In this role, you will lead custom tooling design, line balancing, workplace ergonomics, and seamless manufacturing execution system (MES) deployment. You will also oversee capital projects and manage continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency and product quality.
Candidates must possess at least 5 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience, including proficiency in AutoCAD/3D CAD, equipment specification, and FAT/SAT execution. Expertise in Lean manufacturing, PFMEA, root-cause analysis (8D/5-Why), and shop-floor digitization is required. Prior experience with PLC/SCADA systems, automation integration, and formal Management of Change (MOC) workflows is highly preferred. This is a direct-hire role, and some relocation assistance may be budgeted for qualified regional candidates.

- Develop URS documentation, manage machine suppliers through design reviews, and execute FAT/SAT commissioning protocols
- Design custom assembly jigs, holding fixtures, and gauges in AutoCAD and 3D CAD using Design for Assembly principles
- Optimize cell layouts, line balancing, and material flow utilizing 5S, Lean methods, and NIOSH/OSHA safety standards
- Collaborate with IT/Automation teams to implement MES workflows, electronic Work Instructions, and real-time OEE metrics
- Lead root cause analysis and execute PFMEAs, control plans, and CAPA protocols within formal QMS guidelines
- Guide New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept to full production while managing Capex and operational budgets
