responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure full environmental compliance and construction safety at active and closed coal combustion residuals (CCR) landfills across Michigan.
- Supervise contracted entities and perform quality assurance audits on 3rd party engineers conducting inspections, surveying, sampling, and testing.
- Oversee active closure operations and new landfill cell construction while reporting progress directly to the Landfill Program Manager.
- Maintain meticulous field records and support the development of technical compliance reports formatted to meet regulatory agency standards.
- Leverage a strong working knowledge of State of Michigan Part 115 regulations to read, interpret, and verify civil and environmental engineering drawings.
